WHY NOT! Batteries are a pain and, in spite of what they say on the package, they can (and often do) leak for seemingly no reason at all. Then you have to toss your device and get a new one. Then go through massive documentation to get the battery company to reimburse you. Even ROKU remotes are rechargeable now!
